Curry Plant

Helichrysum italicum serotinum

A very attractive silver foliaged plant with cute yellow flowers and a strong curry fragrance.

Growing Tips: Will tolerate exposed conditions with poor soil but also grows well in most garden beds. Use as an aromatic border to perennial and veggie beds.

Position: Full Sun

Height: 60cm Width: 60cm

Lifespan: Perennial

Use: Although this great garden plant has a powerful curry like fragrance it doesn’t carry through to any culinary uses. It does however mix well with other pungent herbs for pot-pourri. It has also been used for adding an unusual flavour when smoking meat, fruit and nuts. There are no reported medicinal uses of the curry plant. It can be added to salads in small quantities if desired.

Harvest: Harvest as needed
