Dianthus ‘Doris’

HAT COLOUR – Pink

SPECIAL QUALITIES-  Wonderful double ‘carnation’ with perfumed flowers that are good for cutting.  With rather attractive grassy grayish to blue-green foliage and attractive flowers with a signature fragrance, these plants are popular with gardeners and have been grown for centuries.

FLOWERS-Long flowering from early spring to late summer

PLANTS NEEDED PER SQUARE METRE- 9-10

HABIT- Forms a perennial clump of grey grass like leaves and double pink flowers.

POSITION & USES-Border or edging plant in full sun with well drained but moist soil.

CULTIVATION-Easy in good garden soil that is well drained. Remove spent blooms to prolong flowering. Trim lightly in late autumn to encourage new spring growth.

FERTILISING-Regular applications of Seasol and Power Feed will keep it looking its best.
