Dogbane

Plectranthus caninus (syn: Coleus caninus)

Superb winter display of lavender coloured and shaped flowers. Also flowers intermittently throughout the year.

Growing Tips: Superb winter display of lavender coloured and shaped flowers. Also flowers intermittently throughout the year.

Position: Full Sun

Height: 30cm Width: 1.2m

Lifespan: Perennial

Use: Plant in areas where dogs and cats are not wanted. At best it will deter them and at worst it will add winter color to the garden. A non culinary but attractive garden plant that can be used in pot-pourri with other aromatic plants. Also called ‘Scaredy Cat Plant’ although there is no empirical evidence of it repelling pets.

Harvest: No harvesting needed
