Mint Corsican

Mentha requienii

This is the miniature of all mints, with ¼ - ½ cm heart- shaped leaves that sit thick like moss on the ground. This prostrate, mat-like habit makes it ideal to grow between paving stones.

Growing Tips: Require open soil with summer moisture. It is shallow rooted. The dainty, lush green leaves can spoil if the roots dry out. Corsican mint does not go rampant under the soil like other mints.

Position: Part to Full sun

Height: 1.5cm Width: Spreading

Lifespan: Perennial

Use: Often used in liqueurs, the tiny leaves have a very rich aroma and flavour of peppermint, which lifts the spirit and gives energy to the body.

Harvest: Harvest regularly
