Origanum vulgare ‘Hot & Spicy’

This is a spicier form of the traditional herb that is a compact growing shrub suited to any sunny spot in the garden.

Growing Tips: A tough wee suppressing ground cover for dry, sunny spots. Pink flowers in summer look good above the soft olive green foliage. Prefers well drained soil needing minimal water.

Lifespan: Perennial

Use: A warm and peppery flavour with a chilli type bite but not as strong. Use late in the cooking to preserve the flavour. Can be added to fresh green salads and home made salsa.

Harvest: Harvest regularly
