Rocket Sweet

Hesperis matronalis

An attractive short lived perennial with Phlox like flowers that are abundant and fragrant in the early evening. Young leaves are used in salads.

Growing Tips: Needs moist but well drained soil in a back part of the garden. Will self seed so it is best if the flowers are removed prior to seed set. Cut back in mid spring or when plant gets too large.

Position: Part to Full Sun

Height: 75cm Width: 60cm

Lifespan: Perennial

Use: Pick young leaves and add to any general or leafy green salad. It is an ancient herb that has been used for centuries in Europe.

Harvest: Harvest the flowers and leaves as you need them all year round
