FLOWERS: The typical Scabiosa pincushion flowers are a clear mauve and appear from mid spring to mid autumn

HABIT: A perennial, quick spreading plant with dense attractive leaves and mauve flowers
POSITION & USES: Grows best in a sunny position in a wide range of soil types. The dense foliage makes this plant a good weed suppressing ground cover. It is ideal along a path or interspersed with other low growing perennials.
CULTIVATION: Easy to grow in average, well drained garden soil. The addition of lime to acid soil is beneficial. Cut the plant back to half its height in early autumn.
FERTILISING: Regular applications of Seasol and Power Feed will keep it looking its best.
